Travel: China 2013 - Off to Sanya (Day 4)

WEEEE... Today we took a flight from Guangzhou to Sanya on the Hainan Island. When searching pictures on the internet, Sanya looks really beautiful, but is it? I mean nowadays pictures can be edited, so it looks better that it is. Travelling to Sanya made it all clear: IT'S BEAUTIFUL HERE! The coast is. The city is fine, just as other normal cities. Well, we live in a flat on 11th floor (if you count the lowest floor too), and this is flat is pretty nice. Not many furniture's here, but we have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and two balconies. I like that. Notice that we have a kitchen, so we can make our own food, not like in hotels. Living on 11th floor means that we have a great view over the city. We also checked the beach out. Beautiful! We checked the beach out at noon, which means many people and too sunny, which means we didn't go swimming. What really surprised me, when arriving was: SO MUCH RUSSIAN! I mean the Russian languages is so many places! Signs on restaurants, shops, advertisements and more. Why? Sanya seems to be a very popular holiday spot in Russia, at least east Russia. I feel so awesome, because I can read and understand a lot of the sign, and I'm not even from Russia! I'm just a Chinese in Denmark, who loves Russia. Also when seeing Russian people on the street, I'm like "OMG.. Russians speaking Russian!" inside. I can just say that I like Sanya. This is good.

Travel: China 2013 - Hello Guangzhou (Day 2)

Finally my flight arrived! Yup, it was already next day, and I was really tired. Just wanted to sleep. Sleep in a bed! It's pretty hard for me to sleep on a chair or something. I have to lie down. So, we got in the aeroplane and found our seats. Seemed like my mum, brother and I had different seats! Near each other, but not right next to each other... My seatmates? Two Arab guys about 20-30 years old and they were friends. Well, ok then, I'm surviving. They asked me were I came from, and I was like "Umm.. That's a pretty normal question between foreigners", and so I answered their question. A PAUSE. Then they asked how old I was! Why do they want to know that? What do they want? Fish!.. I do look older than my age, and I think it's because I'm different and look more mature, but pleeeeeease.. Make them stop asking about question like that. "15 years" I answered, and from there they didn't really talk to me anymore. YES!

I normally don't sleep more than a half hour during the whole flight-trip to China, but yeah.. I was just sooo tired. Zzzz.. I woke up again and realized I had forgot to close the window, but this was amazing! Just imagine: you're sleeping with your head against the window. You're eyes slowly starts to open, cause you're awake, and the first you see is a beautiful sunrise! I'm just awesome. Woke up at the right time.

In Guangzhou we took the bus to my grandma's flat. Driving in the bus, while just looking out of the window was really nice. Reminds me about how much I've been missing this city and my grandma.

Oh.. And today is Steph's birthday. Happy birthday my girl!

Travel: China 2013 - Goodbye Denmark (Day 1)

Well, today is the day. I'm off. Off to China. I'm so excited, since it's been one and a half year ago I was there last time. To be more exactly I'm going to my hometown Guangzhou, which is located in the Southern China near Hong Kong. During the travel I'll be in Guangzhou (of course), but we also have plans travelling to Sanya (a city on Hainan Island, should be like paradise) and Macau (city near Hong Kong), and who knows? Maybe we'll travel to more places?

The flight take off at evening time, and we're on our way to Doha. Yes, Doha in Qatar. From Doha we'll take another flight to Guangzhou. I like flying in a aeroplane. It may be a bit boring, but seriously.. You have games, films, music, food, toilets, so isn't it everything a (nowadays) human needs? I have a confess: I like the food on the aeroplanes... Hehe.

We're landing in Doha International Airport. I go out from the aeroplane with the rest of the people, and right when I get out BAM! Freak it's hot! It's night, but it's 38 degrees! NOTICE IT WAS NIGHT! Daytime? 42. Glad that it ain't that hot in Denmark, or else? I was melted away a loooong time ago. Ok, were in Doha airport. Everything seems fine, no. We have to wait I don't know how many hours for the flight to Guangzhou! Basically I'm just dying in the airport. Luckily, they have free wi-fi there. Me likey.

BonBon-land 2

Wuhuuuuuuuu... Ok, to make it clear: It's not an usual thing, that I visit BonBon-land, but my dad had promised me the trip, and Steph, Rada and I had planned it since months ago. Going to an amusement park is different when you go with family, and when you go with friends. That's pretty obvious.

What can I say? This day went freakin' awesome! And we tried one called "Svend Svingarm". This one is SO CRAZY! I'm serious! We actually tried it 2 times. First time I had my eyes closed during almost the whole trip, but second time my eyes where wide open! Gosh... I was scared. Oh, and I didn't even scream at any time, when we tried "Svend Svingarm" for our second time.

During most of the day Rada, Steph and I decided to speak English. We do that sometimes for fun. Well, I wanted to buy this picture of us sitting on a roller coaster, and Steph and Rada dared me to speak English! So I did... The staff even asked me, where I came from. I was panicking inside of my head: should I just be an idiot and admit that I'm from Denmark or what? So I answered... GREAT BRITAIN. WTF?! Steph and Rada thought I would say Russia hahah.

BonBon-land 1

Today was all about the amusement park BonBon-land. I went their with my family, and oh... It was such a long time ago, I've been there last time, so it was amazing to be there! Enjoyed the whole day except the awkward and very annoying position I sat in the car... Tried to sleep in the car, but it didn't work.

I AM PROUD OF MYSELF! So, there's this roller coaster called "vildsvinet", and I've always been afraid to try it, but today I did! Mission complete! Lol, people should've seen my. I was cursing in my head, even though the roller coaster hadn't started, and when it finally started I was screaming like some monkey, who hasn't got bananas for years (in films). After today I'm not afraid anymore! Actually I'm going to BonBon-land again on Tuesday with Steph and Rada. At that time I'm surely gonna try "vildsvinet". I've done it once, so why not twice? Just excited.

1.. 2.. 3.. PANIC!

Basically, I never got to buy my stuff Sunday, since most shops closed at 16:00, so today I wanted to buy them! Steph and I cycled to the shopping street "strøget", and everything went good! Firstly, I'm very happy that I got to buy an ink set.. Well, it's actually not a set, it's just a glass of ink, an ink pen and then an ink pad. I've only tried to write with ink once, so I'm pretty excited to use my new ink set. I also bought 2 pair of shorts, but that's not interesting...

Ok, so my work day went good as well, just until the end... My colleague and I were locked in. Locked inside of the supermarket! FREAK! Gosh, people should have seen us. We knew most of our colleagues was done and so were we, but we just had to clean some mirrors, and then we could go home. What went wrong? Well, on our way most of the light were suddenly turned off, and just when we started to walk, an alarm turned ON! We ran out to the staff input, but the door was locked, and we couldn't get out at all! My colleague was totally freaked out, while I thought "The worst thing that can happen, is that we're going to stay at our work till tomorrow, but that's surely not gonna happen, because the alarm is on, so at sometime the police or some of the staff will come to see, why the alarm is on". This thought might have been the reason, why I wasn't all panicking like my colleague. Today was a extraordinary work day...

You know, what they say:
Keep calm and ...

Hello mailbox

La la la la la... Looking in my mailbox! Uhh, 2 letters for me! The first one is a diploma from the "turbo team". We actually get a mark to be in the "turbo team", and guess what? I GOT 12 AS "EXCELLENT"! Wuhuuuuu... And the second letter looked weird. I mean like, where the freak is the stamp? I like looking on the stamp(s), when I get a letter or postcard. Where is the freakin' stamp? But this letter is from my pen friend Olya from Russia! She's in the USA right now, and sent me a postcard from NYC and Washington D.C. Oh, seems like they don't use "real" stamp in the US? ftw, I think? Anyways, I've never received anything from North/South America (that part of the world..), so this is just awesome! Me likey a lot.
Thank you!
